About Turtle

The Turtle Mountains Wilderness area ranges from broad bajadas to highly eroded volcanic peaks, spires, and cliffs. The Mopah Range contains the two signature Mopah Peaks, which are rhyodactic or volcanic plugs. All ramps are free to use. Ramp surfaces include 5 paved concrete ramps suitable for larger motorized vessels. 5 have designated parking (5 with trailer parking). Ramps are managed by DNR Division of Parks and Trails.
