About Lone

New Melones Dam and Reservoir are part of the Central Valley Project - New Melones Unit operated by the Bureau of Reclamation. Located 60 miles upstream on the Stanislaus River from the confluence of the San Joaquin River. All ramps are free to use. Ramp surfaces include 1 paved concrete ramp suitable for larger motorized vessels, 1 gravel ramp. 2 have designated parking (2 with trailer parking). Ramps are managed by DNR Division of Parks and Trails.
