About Lake Superior
The 16,697-acre Lake Superior Reserve is a combination of four distinct land areas and portions of connecting waterways in Douglas County, in the northwest corner of Wisconsin where the St. Louis River flows into Lake Superior. Ramp surfaces include 10 paved concrete ramps suitable for larger motorized vessels, 3 gravel ramps, 6 carry-in launches for kayaks and canoes. 7 ramps are ADA accessible. Ramps are managed by Brule River State Forest, City of Bayfield, City of Washburn, and others.
