Through cooperative efforts, landowners, the Yellowstone River Parks Association, and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) preserved 765 acres of undeveloped open space in Billings. These public lands mostly consist of native sagebrush/grassland, ponderosa pine in the rocky outcrop areas near the river cliffs, and cottonwood riparian. All ramps are free to use. Ramp surfaces include 2 paved concrete ramps suitable for larger motorized vessels. Ramps are managed by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. Live water level data is available from 1 USGS gauge near Lake Elmo. Check current conditions before launching, as water levels can affect ramp accessibility.
