About Gilmore Creek

Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge was established by Executive Order in 1936, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt as a refuge and breeding ground for migratory birds and other wildlife. All ramps are free to use. Ramp surfaces include 2 paved concrete ramps suitable for larger motorized vessels, 6 carry-in launches for kayaks and canoes. 8 have designated parking (2 with trailer parking). Ramps are managed by City of Winona.
