About Diamond

Diamond Craters, an Outstanding Natural Area of 17,000 acres (23 square miles), has some of the most diverse basaltic volcanic features in the nation clustered within a small, accessible area. The area displays an entire range of eruptions possible in basaltic volcanism. All ramps are free to use. Ramp surfaces include 1 paved concrete ramp suitable for larger motorized vessels, 2 carry-in launches for kayaks and canoes. 4 have designated parking (4 with trailer parking). Ramps are managed by DNR Division of Fish and Wildlife, DNR Division of Parks and Trails, U.S. Forest Service.
