About Crystal

Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, established in 1983, is the only refuge created specifically for the protection of the threatened Florida manatee, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee. This unique refuge preserves Three Sisters Springs, the last unspoiled and undeveloped spring habitat in Kings Bay. All ramps are free to use. Ramp surfaces include 4 paved concrete ramps suitable for larger motorized vessels, 1 gravel ramp. 5 have designated parking (5 with trailer parking). Ramps are managed by City of Burnsville, City of Lake Crystal, City of Robbinsdale, and others.
